ABSTRACT
Objective of the research is to find out capability of Digital Elevation Models (DEMs) in assisting delineation of soil map unit of semi detailed especially in Cidudeg, Bogor District. Soil Mapping applied with landforms approach of the results of DEMs analysis. The DEMs is made of topographic map, scale of 1 : 25.000 with resolution 30 meters. Digitally analysis of landforms utilized elements of slope, gradien, relief, elevation and parent materials. Every landforms units, it is ditermine is soil composition in field. Results of landforms delineation is assumsed same with soil mapping units. The results showed that every landforms has differents soil unit compoisition. The purity of 37 soil mapping units showed that only 34 soil mapping units have purity more than 85 percent. Generally, the DEMs is useful for assisting semi detailed soil mapping delineation and the results of maps have a high quality.
